Georgia moves to No. 1, Alabama drops to No. 5

Alabama is still in the top five after losing to Texas A&M.

The Crimson Tide fell from No. 1 to No. 5 in the AP Top 25 after losing 41-38 to the Aggies on Saturday night. Georgia is the new No. 1 team after beating Auburn on the road while Iowa moves up a spot to No. 2 after beating No. 4 Penn State at home.

Cincinnati is No. 3 while Oklahoma moved up to No. 4. The Sooners notched the largest comeback in the history of the Red River Rivalry on Saturday with a 55-48 win on Saturday. Texas was up 28-7 after the first quarter, but Oklahoma came back after switching to freshman Caleb Williams at QB.

5 Big Ten teams in top 10

Penn State only dropped to No. 7 after the loss at Iowa. The Nittany Lions are right behind Ohio State. The Buckeyes are at No. 6 after blowing out Maryland on Saturday.

The top 10 is rounded out by Michigan, Oregon and Michigan State. The Wolverines survived at Nebraska to move to 6-0 on Saturday night while Michigan State won at Rutgers. Half of the top 10 consists of Big Ten teams — the other five is made up by two SEC teams, a Big 12 team, an AAC team and a Pac-12 team.

Kentucky up to No. 11

The Wildcats are on the cusp of the top 10 ahead of a huge matchup at Georgia on Saturday. UK’s trip to Athens is the biggest game of Week 7 and will likely decide the winner of the SEC East. Whoever wins will be the only undefeated team in the division.

Oklahoma State is the No. 2 Big 12 team at No. 12. The Cowboys were off in Week 6. Ole Miss moved up to No. 13 after beating Arkansas and Notre Dame stayed at No. 14 after a late win at Virginia Tech. Coastal Carolina also held its spot after beating Arkansas State.
