Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain striker Mauro Icardi next summer.
Icardi is currently a regular substitute with Kylian Mbappe being an undisputed starter up front for Les Parisiens.
In the past, the club have played with a front two, but that is no longer an option after the arrival of Lionel Messi.
Messi and Neymar have featured on either side of Mbappe this term, and no changes are expected in the near future.
Mbappe could leave the club at the end of the campaign, but there are still no assurances over playing time for Icardi.
The Argentine is fed up with his situation, and Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Spurs could pursue his services.
Harry Kane was linked with a high-profile move to Manchester City this summer before he stayed put at Spurs.
He could yet push for an exit next summer if the north London club can’t end their trophy drought of over 13 years.
Icardi appears as one of the prime targets to fill the void. Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic has also been linked with them.
