Pjanic appeared, advised Barca to change the coach

Miralem Pjanic once moved to Barcelona with a deal worth up to 60 million euros plus 5 million euros in added values from Juventus in June 2020. However, in Barca’s shirt, he rarely played.

In the 2020/2021 season, coach Koeman only launched Miralem Pjanic with 19 matches in La Liga, but most of them were from the bench. This made the relationship between the two sides completely broken and finally the Bosnian & Herzegovina player decided to leave on loan to Besiktas of Turkey.

Midfielder Pjanic still has not finished his anger at Koeman

Recently, Pjanic shared his honest thoughts about Barca’s situation at the moment. The midfielder, who is wearing Besiktas on a 1-season loan contract, thinks that the host team should change the coach to improve the situation.

“Barca is going through a difficult period. The results were not as good as the fans wanted and put pressure on the players,” Pjanic said via beIN SPORTS.

“Barca need to change the captain well enough to get the team back on track. Barca will return to the way it was, but it will take time. Barca has always been one of the four or five biggest clubs in the world and they will return to the old days.”

Before making frank comments about Barca, Pjanic also made headlines when he publicly criticized Koeman in Marca newspaper: “Koeman did not respect me. I always wanted to play for Barca, but I didn’t expect the situation to become so complicated. Ronald Koeman dare not say frankly that he no longer needs me, which I have never met. How can the situation be improved when Koeman does not even see how I perform in the training sessions?

The wave of requests to fire Koeman is growing

Despite having a bad record with Barca, it is likely that Koeman will not be fired immediately. The Dutch strategist will stay at least until November, and that can be considered as a deadline for him to keep his chair. Earlier, President Joan Laporta also voiced support for Koeman.
