Borussia Dortmund could reportedly make an approach for Chelsea striker Timo Werner during next summer’s transfer window.
Erling Braut Haaland is currently Dortmund’s leading striker, but the 21-year-old could head for the exit door next summer.
A release clause worth £65 million will become active at the end of the season, and he is expected to attract plenty of interest.
Dortmund are already weighing up a replacement and Fichajes claims that they could approach to sign Werner from the Blues.
Werner had an average debut season with the London giants last term, bagging just 12 goals and 15 assists from 52 games.
He has fallen down the pecking order this term with the return of Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian has led the line ahead of him.
Werner is already mulling a potential return to Bundesliga. He has been linked with a possible move to Bayern Munich.
It is now reported that Dortmund could also be in the mix to land him next summer as they prepare for Haaland’s potential departure.
