Important Instructions for Browsing Files in Tibetan Script
- To view ACIP data in Tibetan script in your web browser, you will need to download and install the font Tibetan Machine Web, provided free of charge by the Tibetan & Himalayan Digital Library:
- Download Windows fonts. After installation, you may need to restart your web browser or even your computer to see the fonts on your system.
- Download Mac OS fonts. Double-clicking on the downloaded file to bring up the Font Book utility (or whatever utility you may have to manage fonts) -- just press the button that says “Install Font”. Be sure to install all ten Tibetan Machine Web fonts, since they work in concert as a single typeface. Note that you will probably need to restart your web browser to see the Tibetan fonts.
- The Tibetan web pages will only display correctly in Internet Explorer (Windows) or Safari (Mac OS)
- To read PDF files in this release, you will need Adobe Reader (or some other PDF reader).
